ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS Opening Art Space Gallery in 1986 was the start of a journey, a journey that has been life-enhancing and for which we have many to thank; far too many to include here. But the heart of the Gallery is the artists and we have had the privilege to work with, and become friends with, so many who have made and continue to make work of the most enduring kind. We must also express our gratitude to the critics and commentators whose consistent support and enthusiasm has given our activities a public voice, and the patrons and collectors who are the bedrock. And if our publications have been enjoyed and appreciated this is in no small measure due to the skill, and above all, the care that Graham Rees has brought to this particular aspect of the Gallery.
